Letter 001 · Dear Beautiful

You Are Not Behind

4 min read · Hope · Purpose · Grace

Dear Beautiful,

I want to tell you something the world has been too loud to say: you are not behind. There is no race. There is no clock ticking against you. The timeline you keep measuring yourself against was drawn by people who do not know your story, your battles, or the quiet miracles it took for you to simply be here today.

You have been comparing your beginning to someone else’s middle. You have been scrolling through highlight reels and calling them standards. But the seasons of your life were never meant to match anyone else’s calendar. A jacaranda does not apologise for blooming in October. It blooms when it is time, and the whole street stops to look.

The years you think you lost were not lost. They were teaching you compassion. They were building the kind of depth that cannot be rushed. When your moment arrives — and it will arrive — you will discover that everything you called a delay was actually preparation.

So take a breath. Unclench your shoulders. You are allowed to grow at the pace of grace.

With love and hope,

Tebogo Mazibuko
